Fun at the Park

We took Turbo on his first field trip yesterday!
We went to the Parque de Chapultepec
in Mexico City. This park is a bigger
than New York's Central Park
covering almost 1000 acres.
There's a section with a really beautiful lake.
It was quite the experience for little Turbo
seeing little kids with balloons,
bikes, skates, ice cream vendors,
a lots and lots of new doggy friends!
Manolo and the boys rented a rowing boat
while Turbo and I sat on a bench in the shade
doing some people/dog watching.
I worked with Turbo on some of his tricks
while waiting for Manolo and the boys.
I want him to be able to concentrate on me
even when there is so much going on around him.

He was a total star at the park!
Most people commented on how cute he is
and he gave his paw happily
to countless little boys and girls.
It was a really fun experience :)

  1. aww Turbo is so cute and adorable.

one thing I recommend for the paw thing is what we do with our dogs, we teach them 'paw' and 'foot' one is the right, one is the left. so if we say paw we expect the left, and foot is the right. just a neat little thing you can do next if you want :)

  2. Thank you so much for that tip Zoë! We had though about how to teach him which paw to give and this is a wonderful idea. I'll start working with him today :)

  3. What a beautiful place. Turbo is a lucky dog to be taken on such fun trips. Today, my basset got over excited when she saw another dog on the towpath opposite our garden and fell in the canal. It's the first time she's ever been in and I don't even know if she can swim, so it was very scary. It was all a bit of a blur but I managed to pull her out by her scruff. I'm still a bit shaky. Perhaps she needs to learn some behaviour tips from Turbo!
